 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

The City of Bend will hold a “hybrid” public hearing before the City Council on August 05, 2026 at 06:00 PM. You or anyone else may attend the hearing virtually or in person in the City of Bend Council Chambers at 710 NW Wall Street, Bend, OR, 97703. Those without computer access may call the staff reviewer below prior to the meeting for a callin number in order to participate via telephone. The City of Bend is proposing a package of amendments to the Bend Municipal Code (BMC) and Bend Development Code (BDC) to implement Oregon state legislation (HB 2138 and HB 4037) aimed at streamlining housing production. The proposal also includes minor updates to improve clarity and consistency. The amendments are to BMC, Chapter 10.20, Historic Preservation Code, and to BDC Chapters 1.2, Definitions, 2.0, Land Use District Administration, 2.1, Residential Districts, 3.1, Lot, Parcel and Block Design, Access and Circulation, 3.2, Landscaping, Tree Preservation, Fences and Walls, 3.3 Vehicle Parking Standards for On-Site Parking, 3.4 Public Improvement Standards, 3.6 Special Standards and Regulations for Certain Uses, 3.8, Development Alternatives, 4.1, Development Review and Procedures, 4.2, Minimum Development Standards Review, Site Plan Review and Design Review, 4.3 Land Divisions and Property Line Adjustments, 4.5, Master Plans, 4.7, Transportation Analysis, 4.9, Annexations, and 5.3, Adjustments.
